The Goal

Every February, questers come to Stanwood and Camano Island to search for one-of-a-kind handblown glass balls by Mark and Marcus Ellinger, hidden by local businesses and sponsors. The Northwest Glass Quest draws visitors in the off-season and sends them into dozens of local shops. For an event this size, the Chamber needed one place where questers could find everything and businesses could sign up, plus a fresh look each year that the Chamber's small team could roll out without starting over.

What We Did

  • Website Build: Designed and built the Northwest Glass Quest website in Webflow, giving the event its own home separate from the Chamber's site.
  • Yearly Updates: Update the site before each Quest with new dates, the material pickup details and the registration deadline.
  • Business Registration: Added a registration pop-up that sends participating and sponsoring businesses straight to the sign-up form, and named website forms so the Chamber knows which one each submission came from.
  • Event Creative: Design the yearly Quest logos and posters, with matching sizes for the rack card and booklet.
  • Event Kiosk: Switch the Chamber's kiosk home page to a Glass Quest look during the event.
  • Systems & Access: Moved the Quest's automations into the Chamber's own Zapier account and set up Webflow access for the Chamber's team.

The Impact

With more than 60 businesses and dozens of sponsors hiding over 400 glass balls, the Northwest Glass Quest is one of the area's signature events. The website gives questers one place to find dates and details. It also gives local businesses a simple way to register before the Thanksgiving deadline, so the Chamber spends less time chasing sign-ups. A fresh logo and poster each year keeps the Quest feeling new, while matching rack cards and booklets keep it consistent. After more than four years together, the Chamber's team can focus on the hunt itself and the businesses that make it happen.
