Local Organizing Committee

The Goal

Preparing Seattle to host the FIFA World Cup meant building a clear, easy-to-use website and finding ways to keep fans updated. The Local Organizing Committee needed a dependable team to handle day-to-day design work, keep the public informed, and manage technical projects on short notice—all while sticking to tight brand rules set by FIFA.

‍

What We Did

Madak joined forces with the local organizing team as their complete marketing team. Whenever a new marketing task came up, our team took care of it from start to finish.

Our Core Work Included:

  • Website Design & Updates: Built and managed the website, posted regular news and press releases, and designed graphics for the site.
  • Graphic Design & Ads: Created graphics for print, digital ads, social media, and emails that matched official FIFA branding.
  • Email Communication: Managed the entire email system in HubSpot. We moved contact lists over from the Seattle Sounders, cleaned up the data, and created and sent every email update to fans.
  • Social Media Management: Handled social posts, designed custom images, and answered messages across all public channels.
  • Easy Online Workflows: Set up smooth, online forms using simple tools like HubSpot, DocuSign, and Dropbox for special projects—including the Host City Poster Design Contest, the SEA&WIN App, and the Unity Loop map page.

‍

The Impact

By keeping things organized and acting quickly, Madak helped the local organizing team run a smooth, reliable marketing operation. We connected hundreds of thousands of fans to event news, simplified complex sign-up processes, and made sure Seattle's presence as a host city was clear and welcoming.
